Project description

The event commenced with UNAA NT President Kate Heelan presenting on the history of the UN Declaration of Human Rights. This was followed by a speech from UNAA NT Committee Member Ms Lyma Nguyen, which focused on her pro bono work of over a decade, as International Civil Party Counsel at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia where she represented the rights and interests of hundreds of victims of serious, mass and historical, crimes, committed in the 1970s by the Senior Leaders of the Democratic Kampuchea.
