By the end of this course, students will be able to: Apply a critical understanding of urban design theories and principles to analysis and design of the built environment (Capability 1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3) Understand and describe theories that inform urban place and space design (Capability 1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 3.1, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3) Be able to select appropriate tools for the analysis of the built environment (Capability 1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 3.1, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.2 and 6.3) Articulate and communicate complex urban design issues and proposals in oral, drawn and written forms in a professional context (Capability 1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 3.1, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3)
